ABOUT
La Pluma is a unique and eclectic guesthouse close to the charming town and lake of Iznajar, South Cordoba. Nestled into the picturesque hillside of Fuente del Conde we offer three spacious rooms all with ensuites.
There is a beautiful pool area with sunbeds and shades, an outdoor kitchen with gas plancha and big sharing table. The property centres around a beautiful, large courtyard for dining and relaxing.
Just a short walk away is bar "Los Pajaritos"who offer delicious tapas from its large terrace. Opposite the bar is the village shop where they stock everyday essentials.

Breakfast
A continental breakfast box is delivered to your room at your requested time each morning.
Garden
The large courtyard has a dining table, large lounging banquette and across the courtyard is the utility room with shared fridge and microwave. Stairs lead from the courtyard to the beautiful pool area.
Pool
The pool area has places to relax with sunbeds, shades and pool towels are provided. There is an outside dining area with seating and large dining table.

Cultural Sites
Iznajar Town is an old moorish town with a dramatic cliff top castle and church.
Rute is famous for manufacture of Jamon, Anis and many sweets. You can visit the factories and taste the many wares made here.
Antequera a classic Andalusian town of classical beauty is worth a day trip to discover is many cathedrals and churches
There are numerous off the beaten track moorish towns to explore as well as some highly prized Roman towns.
Granada is an hour East and easily accessible from here.
Cordoba a little over an hour North
Malaga is about 50 minutes South.
This makes La Pluma an ideal base for a trip taking in all the classic sites of Andalusia.
ACTIVITIES
Bird Watching
This is an area rich with rare birds. Golden Eagles and Eagle vultures soar high above the village. Montague Harriers also breed here along with many other birds of prey. If you are interested we can arrange guided walks.
Walking/Hiking
There are many walks and hikes in the area suitable for all levels of fitness. Some beautiful walks can be taken directly from your door, just ask and we shall provide you with the information. Throughout the Subbetica there are trails with QR codes for down loadable maps, it truly is a remarkable area for wildlife and getting away from the stress of life.
Water Sports
At Lake Iznajar there is the opportunity to hire Kayaks, paddle boards and pedalos during the summer season. Alua.es will make arrangements with you, they speak a little English or we can help you.
White water rafting is available in a few locations nearby but can be dependant upon water condition so do ask for details.
Other activities
Horse Riding is also possible so please ask La Pluma for details if you are interested.
Cycling (road or trail ) can also be organised through local groups.
La Pluma is situated in an area of exceptional beauty so getting out and about will really make your stay special. There are also some fine places to eat traditional food and be part of our local traditions. If you would like to know more about what is on during your stay please ask.
